The lunchbox robot ukulele is complete!
The body is a tin lunchbox from the London Science Museum gift shop.
The neck is hand-carved mahogany, with added maple for the headstock. The fingerboard is rosewood, with inlayed red fret position markers at frets 5, 7, 12, and 15. The nut and bridge are carved from the same rosewood as the fingerboard.
This is an electric instrument with a piezo pickup with the standard 1/4″ output jack. The action is at a nice, comfortable height.
The sound is bright and punchy, great for old-timey banjolele-like sounds.
